Glowfast wins Australian Marine Industry Best Export Performance
Last night, at the prestigious Australian Marine Export Association Awards Glowfast Marine were awarded Winners of the ‘Australian Marine Industry Best Export Performance' category, as well as Highly Commended in the category ‘Best Marine Industry Export Marketing Strategy’.

Glowfast tests with Volvo Ocean Race Teams
With just under 250 days to go until the start of the 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race, teams are busily working towards their training deadlines.
Glowfast is working closely with all teams to assist with their strenuous preparation regimes.
The teams are utilising a combination of Glowfast Sail Tapes to ensure best results out on the water.
We can't wait for racing to start later this year.

Secret Men's Business 3.5 Wins Rolex Sydney Hobart Tattersall’s Cup With Glowfast
Glowfast would like to congratulate the owner and crew of Secret Men’s Business 3.5 on their Tattersall's Cup victory in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
Secret Men’s Business 3.5 has been working with the team at Doyle Sails to produce a race winning inventory of sails. Glowfast Luminous Sail Tape was a must have item for the crew as serious ocean racers.
Secret Men’s Business has been enjoying its share of victories in recent months, preceding their Hobart conquest with a win in the IRC division of the Premiere’s Cup in South Australia as well as line honours in the Haystack Island Race.

The Australian International Marine Export Group is the peak body for the Australian marine export industry. The objective of AIMEX is to develop and promote Australia’s international competitiveness in the marine sector.
AIMEX represents some of Australia’s most successful international brands, emerging companies and firms that showcase exciting innovation and technological development.

Maxi Trimaran Sodeb'O use Glowfast Draft Stripes for 2010 Route du Rhum
The record beating Groupama 3 helmsman, Thomas Coville will be leading the charge on the Glowfast bedecked Maxi Trimaran Sodeb’O for the Route du Rhum 2010.

The plan for 2010 is two trans-atlantics with the Maxi Trimaran Sodeb’O, one of which will be sailed single-handed along the Discovery Route course. After that there will be the much awaited Route du Rhum, the start of which will take place on 31st October in Saint Malo, France. The year won’t end there though because on returning the boat to Brest in crewed configuration, Thomas is keen to try and set a new time sailing solo around the world on a trimaran with foils.

Loki starts 2010/11 season with a bang

Glowfast supports 2010 Heaven Can Wait 24-hour Yacht Race
The Heaven Can Wait 24 hour race was conceived and promoted by Lake Macquarie resident, keen sailor and cancer survivor Shaun Lewicki as a major annual sailing event on the lake, to promote sailing, the Lake Macquarie/Newcastle/Hunter region – and to raise funds for cancer research.
The inaugural Heaven Can Wait 24 hour race was held on Lake Macquarie during the 2006 October Labour Day Long Weekend and attracted over 30 boats. In 2007, it was again held on Labour Day Long Weekend with the fleet almost doubling in size.
The 2009 event raised a record amount of funds -- nearly $25,000 -- for our charities, the NSW Cancer Council, Hunter Region, and the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol Lake Macquarie Division.
The 2010 event, the fifth Heaven Can Wait 24 Hour Yacht Race and One Lap Dash have been scheduled by the Heaven Can Wait Yacht Club and Toronto Royal Motor Yacht Club for October 2-3, 2010 and a significant growth in fleet size is again expected.
Glowfast Marine will be offering a discount to all race participants. So, if you own a sailboat that complies with YA’s Category 5N requirements, start planning to come along and make your own little bit of history on NSW’s Lake Macquarie during the October 2010 Long Weekend.
Proceeds of the 2010 will again benefit the NSW Cancer Council and the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol (now Marine Rescue NSW).

Glowfast Cruising Series – Just as bright, half the price
At Glowfast we’re always working on making our products better, brighter, more durable and of course more cost effective which is why we’re thrilled to announce the release of Glowfast Luminous Draft Stripes – Cruising Series.
The Cruising Series will be a permanent addition to our range offering the same high quality glow for half the price of the original.
You may be asking how are we’re able to offer this product at half the price?
The Cruising Series uses a different production process to create the glow.
This makes the product just as effective, but does add some weight. This means that it’s perfect in situations where a couple of grams per square meter isn’t critical for performance. The Glowfast Cruising Series also has a protective coating that makes it more durable on sails that spend a lot of time out of the bag.
Also, we don’t recommend this product for use on spinnakers as it’s a little heavier. For application on spinnakers please use Glowfast Luminous Spinnaker V’s.

Glowfast Marine - official supporter of the Sydney 38 Nationals

Glowfast gets into Green eMotion with African Cats
Glowfast Luminous Draft Stripes, Luminous Safety Labels and Luminous Rope Clutch Labels will be a feature of African Cats latest innovation - Green eMotion.
Green eMotion is the first electrically driven fossil free catamaran in the world. Green eMotion technology incorporates solar panels, wind generation and sail power to charge batteries, along with retractable electric motors that function as generators.
Green eMotion is due to be launched later this week.
