  • 1.Why use Glowfast products? People have been on the water for years without needing this technology.

    Glowfast products are designed to add to your experience on the water whether it be improving you performance or increasing your safety. Glowfast products will give you a cost effective performance increase or more tools to help get you home in an emergency situation.

  • 2. How long do Glowfast Products glow for?

    Glowfast products will glow for up to 20+ hours with as little as 10 minutes exposure to light.

    It is essential to have the correct sized product for your application to enable you to view the glow for the entire 20+ hours (during testing in complete darkness a 10mm strip remained visible for in excess of 36 hours).

    The further you are away from the product, the larger the product needs to be to ensure optimum results.

  • 3. How much will it cost to get Glowfast Sail Tape fitted to my sails?

    It usually costs around 2% to 4% of your sail cost, so if you your sail is worth $10,000 expect to pay around $200 Glowfast Luminous tape.

  • 4. What is different about Glowfast products compared to other products on the market?

    Glowfast products glow in the dark and are specifically designed for the marine industry, made using patented technology, they are manufactured using materials that other companies cannot incorporate glow materials into. These materials make our products unique and ideal for marine purposes and are lightweight, durable and best of all unmatched luminous properties

  • 5. Does using Glowfast Sail Tape really make a difference?

    Well you will have to judge for yourself, During the development period of our sail tape we tested it on 3 separate yachts in 3 separate races including the Sydney to Hobart, Melbourne – Osaka and NZ 2 handed series. In all 3 races the yachts with our products won there division by significant times and 2 of the 3 took line honors.   • 6. Who uses Glowfast products?

    Glowfast products are used by elite yachtsmen and cruisers all over the world. Glowfast products are being used by teams in races including the Volvo Ocean Race, Sydney – Hobart, Melbourne – Osaka and the list goes on. Glowfast products are not just for the racers though, they are also being used by countless cruising boats, fishing boats and runabouts through to massive cruise liners and military vessels to improve safety.

  • 7. Why can't I see my Glowfast Luminous Draft Stripes all night?

    It is critical to ensure you have the correct size stripes for your yacht. If you select a size of tape that is too small you will not be able to see it glowing from far away, particularly in the early hours of the morning.
